It is with heavy and saddened hearts that we announce the death of Deacon Gerry Godsoe, on Friday March 5th.  Deacon Gerry and his wife Joan served lovingly for over 30 years at St. John’s Church before retiring.   “I was saddened to hear of the death of Deacon Gerry.  When you think of St. John’s, you think of Deacon Gerry.  He led us during times of many pastoral changes.  He was always there for us comforting us with his words of wisdom and welcoming smile.  He was the soul of St. John’s.  We pray he has now gone home to heaven to plead our cause.  Thanks for everything Gerry.  We will miss you.”…….  Fr. Deacon's private funeral Mass will be held at St. John's Parish, on Tuesday March 9th at 11 am.  We will celebrate ae a memorial Mass post COVID to honour his wonderful.
